My husband and I both had procedures at Same Day Surgery Center earlier this year. While we had excellent care and no complaints about that, we are now in a months-long battle with them over our insurance and payment. Due to a clerical error on a new insurance policy, we were placed in the wrong network. Never once did Same Day Surgery Center tell us they were not a participating provider in our network. They told us the procedures were approved and, once done, sent us notices for the full amount as if we were self-insured. Now, when our insurance company is working to resolve this with them (they got us switched to the correct network and Same Day Surgery Center is an approved provider in that network) and offer them the full payment they would have received as an in-network provider, they are refusing. The difference in the amount they billed us as self-insured and what the insurance company is offering (full amount to in-network provider) is minimal compared to the overall bills. Other care providers have agreed to the insurance company's settlement they would have received if we had been in the correct network and they have been paid. Not this outfit. They won't even talk to our insurance company. Everything must be in writing and so far, any attempt to settle the claims have been rejected by Same Day Surgery Center. They are threatening to send my bill to collections, all the scare tactics. I will not recommend them and I will never do business with them again. They could at least negotiate in good faith with our insurance company, but they won't. It's all or nothing for this place. Not only that, but if you are self-insured, nice to know you pay more for the same procedure...
I would give the care department five stars, but their billing department, no stars if this review would let me!
