Great grandchild had to be moved to Kosair at parent's insistence. She had pneumonia. She was dehydrated and they couldn't get an IV in. She did finally start ingestings some liquids and was feeling a little better but some of the nurses would skip her medicines or breathing treatments if she was asleep. In her sleep her oxygen tube fell off and her levels dropped to 80 something. Her dad woke up and found it in time. She was not checked as she should have been . The plan was to maybe send a 19 month old child home with oxygen in another day. That's when the parents decided something had to change. The child soiled the sheets and parent asked to have them changed and were ignored. Three days later and they were still on the bed. Immediately when she was admitted to Kosair, an IV was inserted, she is getting breathing treatments and her medications on time with none being skipped. That's the difference in substandard care and excellent care. If you care about your loved ones better think it over before you choose Scott Co Memorial.
Megan Jennings went a year back after a car mishap. She had a collar bone that was clearly broke she is thin and it was quite seeable. They said not broke. A year later she is still in pain her collar bone looks worse almost a v shape now. She goes up there still not broke . She can't even raise her arm above her head. No treatment then or now for her. .... She is in pain. Didn't even want to go this time I made her. She was almost in tears because of how bad it hurts. ....
Great Dr. but horrible billing department. I would recommend driving to somewhere else.
Where do I begin. My son has been taken here 3 times in the last 6 months for the same symptoms. Severe pain in his stomach and vomiting with NO other symptoms. This has him sick and laid up for no less than 5 days at a time. No stomach virus I've ever seen lasts that long which is what they continue to tell me! Went again last night and the nurse, Josh was amazing and very nice to my son, and then the "doctor" came in, Dr. Carter. They must screen the doctors they hire to make sure they are rude and have horrible bedside manner because the last two doctors we saw here were incredibly rude and acted as if we were a burden by coming to the ER. Whenever we have the option we will definitely be going to Floyd from now on!!! Horrible facility!
Place is a total hell hole...no good doctors....don't go here
