Family and I had one of the best ER visits on Saturday, October 6 around 11:30 a.m. Husband was taken in immediately, and was very well taken care of. Everyone involved in his care was friendly, kind, accommodating, empathetic, helpful, and even a bit humorous to lighten the situation. I also observed that every person who walked in with their emergency was immediately attended to by the receptionists, nurses, and even the security guard. I can attest that the same caring and concern carried on behind the scenes. The staff and facility were fantastic.

The nurses and registration was awesome and I was in very quickly. The doctor/nurse asked my pain level and I stated a 10. I was never given anything for my earache and body ache. I was prescribed Tylenol/Ibuprofen over the counter medicine; which is what I stated I was taking and wasn’t working hence my reason for going into the ER. It was late and all he kept saying is go to a PCP which if it wasn’t 1am, I would’ve. All he said was since it wasn’t a life threatening emergency all he could give me was a Z-Pack and Ibuprofen. I was in an out in 10 minutes my ear ruptured and they didn’t do anything to help.

I have had ER visits, a surgery with an overnight stay, complex diagnostics, and I have had the very best of care. The hospital is clean, beautiful, everyone is professional and caring. No complaints at all. Thank you for caring for our community is such a professional manner.

Ridiculous billing.
Every time I receive my bill I feel like it is a fraud. The hospital is only into the money and they can always find their ways to bill you even for the services that are already fully covered by the insurance. They use different service codes to bill you and fool you. And the only answer you'll get from their billing office is: this is how we bill. And there would be no further explanations. Very irresponsible.

Their billing is definitely ridiculous and questionable. There are other good health providers in Bryan College Station area that bill you reasonably with transparency. As an expecting mom, I can't imagine myself fighting over piles of outrageous hospital bills and taking care of my baby at the same time, it should be the least thing that I worry about.

I have mixed feelings about this hospital. I've been here for various things, and overall the building and its amenities are nice and new. However, the doctors, staff, and level of care are hit or miss. Now, don't get me wrong, there are good doctors and nurses at this location, but it has its share of really crappy ones, too. I guess that can be said for just about any hospital. It's just frustrating when you pay money for a procedure and have nobody call you back or available to answer questions. They're very attentive prior to your procedure, and excited to take your money, but can't be bothered afterwards. Also, no courtesy call to check on patients. I sure as hell didn't receive one. I think their philosophy is to get as many people in and out as possible, you're just another body, another number. I find that very cold and heartless for a place that's suppose to care and help people. I suppose that's the state of our healthcare system. I could care less about the education of these people, and their time/worth versus availability and effort. I promise many of us have far more important jobs with higher paying salaries than most of you, so get off your high horse. Just because you're a doctor doesn't make you better than everyone else. Treat people with respect, regardless of who they are and where they come from. I felt like writing this review because I'm tired of the elitist attitudes. Look, if you don't like what you do, that's your problem, that's your choice. Just because you went to medical school doesn't entitle you to anything. Find and do something else, if you're unhappy. It's simple as that!
