feedback about Shenandoah Medical Center
Was given wrong information by a nurse that there is no urgent care here but we were never informed of the walk in clinic, so we ended up in the ER. But for the type of situation we were in, it was difficult to determine whether we needed the ER or the walk-in clinic. The ER staff was amazing and compassionate and actually, quite light-hearted and funny. It was a completely different experience than I have ever experienced in any emergency room visit in Omaha.
I visited my Grandpa, at this hospital between, 1986 & 1987. He was a resident from Burlington Junction, Mo. but was born in Iowa. They gave him good healthcare & good recommendations to the hospital in Omaha, Nebraska to an Oncologist. This hospital was a quiet & respectable hospital. It had nice employees & was clean within it. I am happy to see it has expanded & has been completely remodeled. That is progress in Iowa. Shenandoah, Iowa needed those changes.
Brought my wife down here from red oak cause she was in severe pain and the doctor would not do anything except antibiotics which does not treat the pain refused her tramadol cause she is tking 5mg of oxycodone once a day for chronic pain i have a script for oxy that also has tylonel in it so it is 5/375 that i take 3 times a day biggest mistake ever made
They took out my blood! Then put it back!
my dad went there and they made his MS worse. he ended up nit being able to walk. he had multiple strokes and seizures. after they "treated" him, he was transferred to his home town and the medicine they gave him there corresponded with the medicine from Shenandoah hospital. they made my dad have a terrible life. they ruined him. i blame them. they are not getting away with this. this should not be expected from a hospital. its to help the patients, not make them worse day by day.
