I was hospitalized here unexpectedly while away from home with my family with a painful back injury. The care that I received from the nurses, doctors, case managers, and physical therapists was exemplary. Michele, Anastacia, Nicole, and Kris (apologies to those I have forgotten or did not recall the name of) went above and beyond to assist in my recovery. Please pass this review along to your staff as well as a very warm thank you from the patient in room 154 bed 2 this past weekend.

I had an amazing experience at this hospital. The staff to patient ratio is very low and everyone is friendly and provides excellent care in a kind and timely manner. I would highly recommend this hospital over the other hospital that is in San Luis Obispo.

Had to beg and plead for pain medication after surgery and even then I wouldn’t receive it after I was told I would get it and it lead to very uncomfortable and painful nights. Some nurses were nice and professional, others were forgetful and unaccommodating.

Went to this ER for pain and swelling in my wrist, they took xrays and said there were no breaks, but here I am 1 month later seeing an orthopedist who has been able to confirm that my radius bone was in fact completely cracked. I am self employed and I work with my hands and am probably going to be out of work even longer than i should due to this Hospitals negligence and incompetency. On top of that, when I first entered the hospital, they took me to a room and asked if i had ever used drugs. I was honest with them and told them i did have a past with using drugs that was a long time ago. Then the nurse asked me to wait outside and never finished taking my vitals. When the doctor saw me they took xrays and said there were no breaks. They then gave me tylenol which i told them i had already taken and it didnt work. But they refused to give me any kind of prescription and told me to buy over the counter, although i mentioned i was out of town on a road trip and was running low on funds and that my insurance works with cvs and that i could get medication for free. They were out of line in the way they treated me. I also watched the nurse act nasty and rude towards the intake receptionist. I literally threw a fit on my way out because of the pain i was in and the entire ER staff laughed at me. I will be filing a formal grievance!

I don't have any complaints about the nurses or doctors. They all seemed ok. The administration here is complete *$#& though. There is zero communication and they horrible and possibly dangerous decisions.
