This place is absolutely despicable. We brought our friend in because we believed she was drugged out at a bar. She drank no more than usual but ended up unconscious. When we got to the hospital she spent an hour in a bed alone. No doctor saw her. Just several snarky nurses who said “she doesn’t seem to need blood work that much”. It was late and they were just absolutely too lazy to do so. She was waiting for service for an hour while a group of nurses just chatted and laughed away six yards from us. Additionally, a few months ago, I had a seizure and was rushed in as well. The staff refused to believe I had epilepsy and claimed that I was just drunk. Thank god I had my medical alert bracelet and card on me to prove I had the disorder. All in all, this place is a joke with horrible service. If there’s an emergency, travel the extra few miles to a better establishment. If I were able to offer this place zero stars aside from one, I absolutely would.

I brought my girlfriend here because she was in excruciating pain. After making her wait an entire hour before giving her anything. We then waited three hours and had to ask for more nausea meds; but no one would provide it until the doctor came in and when dr. Does they say oh yeah you she can have more zofran (its 3AM) but quickly left the room not addressing why we came here in the first place because of her abdominal pain. An hour later I had to page them just to ask what was going on and another half an hour later we have to page again. The nurses act like your bothering them because you paged them but nobody informs you of what's going on or how they're helping you. Dont get me wrong a couple are nice but If you hit the buzzer they just come off as rude and no one really helps you (except that older nurse in brown scrubs)at 4am because then the doctor came to discharge her saying ovarian cysts can be painful. Do yourself a favor and go to Kent unless you have 5 hours to wait around just to wait to talk to a doctor in the emergency room. And oh on the way out they'll flag you down to say you owe us 150 dollars because our policy changed; sorry but hitting the bank wasn't the first priority when your in agonizing pain. It's pretty clear the hospital pushes its money making agenda far ahead of its patients,so much so they shouldn't even call themselves a hospital.

I was assaulted and went to the emergency room for help. There was no one in the waiting area so I saw intake quite promptly. They asked me if I got into a fight where I told them I couldn’t remember (perhaps I was knocked out or had a concussion) and that I’m on blood thinners and couldn’t stop bleeding. I was shown the rest room and was left alone. I went back into the waiting area where the doors where closed and blind pulled down tight. I was in a lot of pain perhaps broke a rid, and bleeding all over myself. I was also confused and waited for what seemed a very long time but no one came to me. I finally got up and drove home. Luckily I didn’t get into an accident. Way to go south county hospital. I plan on speaking to an attorney. Something needs to be done.

Avoid this hospital. They’re not fully equipped to handle patients. I cut my finger and I was told by 2 nurses in the ER that I need stitches. I waited 6 hours to see the doctor and when she came she was very rude and unprofessional and said who told you your finger needs stitches and she put bandaid and left. She came back to throw couple papers for me to sign without saying any word and disappeared. She seemed sleepy and disrespectful. Totally waste of time and money. I’m sure another patient needed that room more than me. They made me wait 6 hours in it for a bandaid while the waiting area was full of patients.
