I will never ever go to Southern Coos Hospital again..Went to ER almost 3 months ago due to a fall. I thought I broke my arm. I sat in the waiting area for 4 hours in pain. Went to tbe back and waited another hour. Doctor came in, pulled and twisted on my arm, said I needed an x-ray..The doctor said I pulled some tendons and muscle. WRONG!!! Seen a specialist yesterday, turns out I broke my arm..3 months of pain due to a misdiagnosis..Way to go doc...

The ER dr would rather send you home than help you..Before the change it was. much better

Awful.. One is too high a rating for this in competent group. Dr Guzmam and her office staff should be ashamed. My appointments were cancelled 3 separate times. This is after they scheduled the time and the day. It took me 4 months see this questionable nurse practioner. The second reason I'm upset is the time it takes to get necessary perscriptions filled. Sometimes longer than 2 weeks. Go elsewhere if you have medical needs. This facility is a disaster.

Even though there is an almost completely different staff and administration from my years of employment at SCH I continue to have full confidence in the delivery of care to our community and visitors to our area. There is a special comfort and pride one feels when able to serve one's neighbors and friends. I hope people continue to support our local rural hospital and speak well of the efforts the employees make to maintain a feeling of comfort and true compassionate care.

Took my wife in with severe abdominal pain they let her lay on the floor crying and wincing in pain for well over and hour,Finally she gets a bed then they let her lay there for 3 hours+ with no treatment or pain relief.10 minutes before she is discharged they gave her pain relief and send her home with Zyprexa ( A drug that treats mental disorders) and the doctor had no diagnosis! CLEARLY this doctor is getting paid by big pharma or has No clue!!!!!!!! Went directly from there to Coquille Hospital she was in and out with a script of antibiotics and ibuprofen and a diagnosis of a bad G.I infection. They also said the script of Zyprexa was a very odd script to receive for a G.I Infection. WARNING!!!!!!!!!!! Stay far far away!Honestly it well worth going to Coos bay or Coquille.
