My whole knee is shot acl ruptured MCL tear above the joint fracture to posterior aspect right of lateral tibial plateau n longituadinal tear involving the meniscocapsular junction of the the medial meniscus. The doctor I had today in the specialty clinic was a jerk. He grabbed a hold of my knee and goes does this hurt and of course tears rolling down my cheeks. He rolls over to the computer and goes oh you have more notes here. 1st strike he didnt even look at my chart before he came in the room. 2nd strike was being dumb and grabbing my knee cap the way he did. 3rd strike was telling me I needed to lose weight or they wouldn't do surgery..sorry to say buddy I was put under September 2018 and they didn't have a problem with it or question it
4th strike was trying to put a knee brace on my knee that only didnt stabilize it and had no support for the situation and condition my knee is currently in. 5th strike was refusing to do surgery..sorry but the condition my knee is in according to my primary it's not gunna heal on own..so needless to say I'm stuck in my brace for another month hoping it doesn't get worse over that period of time. Worst experience at this hospital ever.
I always have a great experience at Southwest Health. Everyone there is very friendly and helpful. People go out of the way to say hello and it is refreshing! The medical staff is attentive and kind. They are always sure to address all my questions and discuss things completely. I highly recommend Southwest Health for any medical needs.
Great professionals in my local area. Southwest has a lot of services close to home. I have used the pharmacy, primary care, eye center, radiology, physical therapy and lab. I have been so happy with all the services. People say hello in the hallway; employees are warm and friendly. They know me, but still ask me to for my identification for my safety and to make sure my healthcare information is mine.
Southwest Health puts a lot of care and compassion into every interaction with patients. As a patient and employee, I see the effort put forth to make every patient have an exceptional experience each time they step into our front door as well as with each interaction with the organization. I look forward to having my second child at SH in a few weeks and thank the team that have made each experience special.
The medical staff have been very good, the EDGE and running clinic are worth every penny. However, their rates for PT are sky high and their billing department is the worst we have ever experienced (Upland Hills, Gunderson, and Mineral Point Medical have been great). My son does follow ups there every 6 months and we have actually had a follow up while still getting bills from the previous follow up (6 months ago). When you try to get them paid you get treated like you are a bad account or insurance gets blamed but we already got the explanation of benefits months before. We have been happy with the medical care but the billing department is beyond atrocious. It's no wonder the cost of care is so high when you are not getting paid for 6 months.
