Ssm Health St. Mary's Hospital – Jefferson City

I have used the ER at St. Mary's twice. The first time was for my granddaughter who fell and busted her lip open, which required stitches. The second was when I fell and sprained my ankle. Both times, everyone we dealth with was awesome. They were kind, calming, quick to help and efficient. No complaints at all.

on June 21,2019 i was on my way to saint Mary's to see my dad in ICU department. i was 3 hours away from hospital when i got the call he had passed . that in its self was devastating .i tell my family i'm 3 hours away then i get a call from my mom telling me that the ICU department told her that they had to send my dad out that i was not going to be able to see him to pay my respects if i couldn't be there by 2 pm them knowing i was still was not going to make it till 3pm . then about an hour later i get another call my mom telling me that they said they would wait till 3pm but i would only get a few minutes to pay my respects . so i arrive at 3pm go to ICU as soon as i got to the nurses station my fathers door was wide open no privacy they had left him sitting straight up in the bed there was no aftercare given to him at all that is an image that i will never forget .they showed my dad no respect ,dignity or compassion .this happened on a Saturday my dad donated his body to science and on Tuesday we get a call from the science center them apologizing for having to call but the hospital never faxed the paperwork so they could not pick up my dad until it was done. called the hospital and i would just like to say everyone of them passed the buck to the next person . those people include Becky miller, pastor Scott ,charge nurse for ICU shantell , and the nurse on duty was Samantha . and let me just say i will not let this go because no family deserves to go through this my dad deserved to be treated with respect. the only reason i gave 1 star is because it will not allow you to post your comment unless you give 1 star

The man I just met at the front desk is rude. Based on him alone I will never come back here again. Today is Wednesday, March 20th. 2019. 1:20 PM. He almost told me straight out that I won't be treated here. I almost walked out the door. Currently watching a nurse be mean to a patient that is puking.. I can't believe this is a Godly Mission Hospital. Go anywhere else..

Simply amazing ! Who would think that a hospital could treat someone as they do . Although I was unprepared and did not know what to expect on my first stay heading back with expectations . Not that anyone looks forward to admitting themselves into the hospital but going in with a little knowledge .
