St James Parish Hospital

Dr. Kirby is an excellent doctor. She's very caring and attentive. She didn't mess around she came in and took action. My tears went from tears of pain to joy. I could go on and on about her. I told her she was my angel. My nurse Ed was also great. He put in an IV port, took blood and gave me medicine all at the same time and I didn't even realize it. I was in and out within 2.5 hrs and that's with a CT scan. Wonderful place.

Mixed emotions about this hospital. In the past, the doctors, nurses, and staff were great however, at my recent visit, the doctors, nurses and staff seemed mediocre.

Such caring concerned staffs. So glad that they are now doing TKRS. Dr Williams Johnson has a mannerism that you knows he sees u as more than a #. My case was a little unusual , case manager did all she could to accommodate my issues. Loving rehab department who makes sure that u pump it up to get back in shape. It was a good experience in spite of the pain. Would be better if the inpatient rehap area was more spacious. Very clean rooms, nurse constantly checking on u along with the CNA. Thanks to u all for making a painful recovery feel less painful because of the great care that I received. They listened & addressed my concerns the best they could. Got there around 8am on Saturday. No one waiting in the lobby so im thinking in and out. Signs says ring the bell and have a seat and someone will be with me shortly. Rang the bell. Hour later still no one has come to check on me. Rang the bell again at 9am. Its 915 and i still have yet to see anyone come to the window. Lets see how long it takes before anyone decides to come to the window before i ring this bell again and keep ringing it until someone does. Decided to give a 3 star, instead of 1, due to the lady who took my blood. She was very nice.

This hospital went above and beyond the call of duty. They are not fully equipped to treat pregnant women,but they did all they could to put my mind at peace. Dr. Kirby is an amazing doctor, with an awesome staff of nurses. It was worth the drive from Laplace.
