I hope not too late to write a review for this place that suppose to be good hospital to work for. I been there for many years from a volunteer to be an employee. This place people don’t treat you like a human been. When they don’t like you. You will find anything to fire you. In the same time when they fire you. They told you that you cannot come back to work for them until some years later. They treated doctor really bad especially you are foreigner. Good luck! I got myself a better job with nicer people.

My wife and I had a baby girl here. From Megan and Liz in the birthing center to Kayla and Laura in post partum plus rest of staff made the birth of our daughter so much easier. They were amazing to my wife and I and made my wife as comfortable as possible. Amazing work. Thank you ladies!

I love this hospital!!
Been here 3x for my son since 2015. Their surgery team, nurses and all support staff has been great every time and this time was no exception!
This time specifically, we had an absolutely phenomenal nurse Tammy here on the pediatric floor! She was absolutely wonderful... made my son's first night of recovery so much better, couldn't have done it without you! Thank you!
My son also got a handmade blanket from a lady that makes them for the children... he is in love and that also made him feel so special!
Thank you St. John's... keep up the great work!

THIS IS THE WORST E.R. IN THE COUNTRY!

Not only is the average wait time 6-8 hours, but the Emergency Room reception is ephemeral and not passionate towards patients at all. In the time I've sat waiting, almost a full work day, they have lolly gagged, made excuses for their ridiculous system of triage which does not assess characteristics of illness, but rather the physical demographics of their patients prior to administering medical attention. So don't bring Grandma if she fell, only is she's going to die. (And you can prove it...)

I am appauled by the depths this hospital has sank in regard to patient service and immediate medical response. I would most certainly love to speak to the Board representative that allows such under staffing of physicians in such a populated area. Honestly, the E.R R.N. on duty MUST ONLY CARE FOR PREGNANT WOMEN AND ELDERLY PERSONS WITH INSURANCE. If you are not within eminent death, don't waste your time coming here.

Nevertheless, I will end my review by saying that I did not come to this hospital to be treated like a disloyal patron or even to have been belittled and have my intelligence insulted for asking simple and valid questions regarding time of wait, changes in patient vitals while waiting, and being explained to how the "triage" process works. The time they spend talking back and forth, calling the names of patients who have already left from inconvenience of time, could very well be used attending to patients and their EMERGENCIES! Next time, we're going to Beaumont!

Today I have decided to put my two weeks notice here at St. John. I started working at St. john in my last year in high school as a volunteer in 2015. 2016 I worked as a valet driver for America Parking and Patient Sitter with St John. and 2017 I worked Patient Care Tech at 5 East and 2018 I worked for the staffing office as Health Unit Coordinator.
Through my experience working here it's ending really bad. I have spend more time at St. John than I have at home but I must admit I am very disappointed. Management is externally bad and need some training, all the mangers I have worked with are rude and disrespectful and not understanding at all.
One of the photos that shows a small room that's where I had to work for 8 hours and I was demanded to stay 30 minutes after my shift ends at 11pm until 11:30 and do nothing but sit there. I also wasn’t allowed to switch with other staff members when I felt not comfortable working there. I began stressed and depressed working with Barb and Brenda at staffing. There a lot of expectations towards the staff without guiding, listening or caring for them but adding more stress to their job description and I happen to be one of those staff. 5 East was different experience because Nancy 5 East manger is a liar and user. She will make you work until you feel giving up. She use to tell me great job, until one day everything changed when i heard her talking bad and negative about me to some of her staff. See now you probably began to understand why I am writing this review and leaving St John. Back in 2016 I was attacked by a patient when i was a sitter and as you can see my hand, my manager never asked me to fill a form and now that I think of it. Now I regret working for St. John because I am still nowhere. They made me promises to work with my school schedule, and help me build a career here but instead they played me all those years and after all they are very rude to me and others that work here. But I will not let that happen again.
