feedback about St John Medical Center, Inc
I just spent six days at St John Tulsa after very serious thoracic surgery. All of the staff I had contact with was incredibly courteous, caring, professional, competent, and a blessing to me. From housekeeping to transport, from surgical staff to nurse aides, from the doctors and PA to nurses, from x-ray to discharge, they were amazing. Kudos to St. John personnel department for developing such an outstanding staff. I am so very grateful for the excellent care I received.
So far really great staff ! Informative and polite. Have heard really good things about this Hospital. Glad we're here. Special thank you to a nurse named Darris. He was absolutely the best person I've ever met. He took care of my grandpa so well, very nice, polite, and professional. They need more of his kind around here !! Updating to a five star business! They really took great care of my grandpa.
Would rate a zero, if it was optional. Horrible care for patients and unclean. Waited 6hrs in triage lobby with an I.V in my arm. They took blood twice and an MRI testing was done. Man was lying on the floor, sleep with an I.V. and the pole. Four more patients followed with I.V. poles. Was placed as a orange code which is a level 2 in need. Was told i was next 3hrs later..which never came. Asked triage nurse Katie for an update on where they were with me...I've been waiting 6hrs. She had the audacity to say "There's people whom been waiting 9hrs (man sleep on floor with I.V. pole)! In other words "So WHAT, you been wanting all night"! I checked in approx. 11:55pm and left with I.V. still in arm after asking several times for it to be removed. She wanted to keep assessing check-ins. I witnessed an patient go to the restroom and removed his own I.V. I asked b4 he removed it had he been waiting for her to remove his as well n he replied "Yep...so I will remove it myself". This place is trash n unfair to their patients! I used to work there years ago...So I can kick my own rear for this! Find another hospital if u need emergency assistance.
Nurses and doctors was nice to my boyfriend even though he likes to yell at them and not listen
Big shout out to the nurses and doctors on the 7th floor icu unit in st John's hospital who took care of pops. They were respectful and kind and treated pops like a human being and not a room number. They prepared the family as best they could for what they knew was coming. More hospitals need staff like this.
