St Joseph Mercy Chelsea

A Friday night at 10pm. On the way to bed my 88 year old mom got dizzy on the top stair(after being awakened on the couch to go to bed) and fell six stairs to landing. Blood everywhere. After finding her trying to wash her hair in her bathroom sink I took her to Chelsea ED. Contrary to some previous posts, I found them to be excellent. Her nurse ,S ,was very good with her. Dr. Kaisler was just awesome in how he approached and treated her for her injuries. So kind. Staple sutures to the scalp and cast on her hand for dislocated thumb and many steri strips on her lower leg for abraded skin lac. We went home six hours later to be followed up. She is doing well and we appreciate how well she was treated.

The service in the ER is horrible!! The incompetence & lack of compassion for their patients, is inexcusable!! I would not bring a sick animal here, let alone a person! They seriously need better staffing, a review of how to treat their patients, & how to run a efficient ER!! They do NOT even deserve a 1 star review! Absolutely despicable in every way!!

Just underwent a total knee replacement at Chelsea hospital. As a PT myself I know what good care looks like. The entire staff was superb. They answered my call light quickly and always with a smile on their faces. They continually asked if I needed anything. Some names I remember (sorry I was on tons of pain killers) from my medical assistants and nurses were Shelby, Lynn, Jane, and PT Susan, I think. I know I’m missing my Thursday night 2/7/19 staff. You were all so good to me. Thank you all for your loving care.

Absolutely terrible. A male doctor tried to force my hand up to do the same test all the other doctors already have done because they can’t get their stuff together to find out whats wrong with me. I told the doctor to hold on a sec. The doctor aggressively grabbed my wrist very hard and tried to pull it up from the hospital bed. I told him “DON’T GRAB ME LIKE THAT” and he got mad and stormed out my the room after waiting hours for him. They're So unprofessional it’s disgusting.
