This little guy arrived early, the staff were incredible. The care for not only mom but for the entire family as a whole was amazing.
This was a complicated pregnancy and the staff handled it like the pros that they are. The compassion and service were second to none. Every one is so thankful that although this was plan B - Maine Med was the original plan - the care and service far surpassed
And sometimes the 2nd option turns out to be the best

Would give a 0 if it was possible. Birth center staff doesn't seem to care for anyones concerns. I'm 38 weeks pregnant, haven't felt my baby move in 24 hours. The hooked me up to the no stress test machine, say everything is fine and sent me on my way. I've had many problems with this entire hospital. But this has been the worst experience.

They need to work on educating their ER doctors on mental illness. I have a severe anxiety disorder that causes me to have all kinds of symptoms and they feel VERY REAL to me. I have a hard time interpreting what feels like an emergency vs "just anxiety". I was basically told to just control it. It doesn't matter how much I have come in in the past. You treat patients with dignity, respect, compassion and understanding. Dr. Galley and Dr. Piker are amazing but the others, one in particular has talked to me as if I was foolish and belittled me. I am VERY disgusted. I left the hospital in tears because of the way I was talked to.

I am a Florida resident in Maine for 6 months. My oncologist at the Moffitt Cinancer Center provides me with a signed order for my Multiple Myeloma blood work which he wants done every 3 months. I am a 8 year bone marrow transplant patient. Making a long story short, the lab at Stephens would not draw blood because my Moffitt oncologist, Dr Dan Sullivan was " not in our system" refusing to honor Dr. Sullivan's request. We are building a home in Otisfied, Maine and plan to spend 6 months a year in Maine. We were hoping to have required lab work done at Stephens, but not happening. Disappointed.
