Patient of Kenya Kozawa. I'm an RN and have seen many Doctors. I know when I see a talented Doctor! He is one of S.E. Tennessee's most knowledgeable physicians.
Unfortunately, I had to use the emergency room due to, what I think, was a food poisoning issue. I still haven't found out what the cause was. However, I was told that they could not rule out a virus at the time so not to be in contact with anyone. Not really impressed with this emergency room. All the way from the triage nurse to the PA, it just didn't feel like these people were giving an honest effort in my care. I had been throwing up all day and was dehydrated so my opinion of this facility may be a little thwarted by that fact. But, I will add that the person that drove me and stayed with me at the time felt the same way about this emergency room and she wasn't sick at all. I was given fluids and a pain reliever for my headache. Overall, I don't think there was much more that they could do for me. They probably see dehydration a lot and just thought my case was a run of the mill case. But to a person suffering from severe dehydration, it really sucks. The simplest of things can cause real frustration. The repitativeness of the questioning by everyone as whole just makes it seem to the patient that no one is communicating within the staff. For example, the doctor asked me when he entered my room what medications I was taking. I would think as a doctor, before you go into the patients room that you have atleast looked at the patients chart and have an idea of what you're looking for and how to treat the patient. The triage nurse is the first person to document and provide this information to the doctor. That's just one example of how things got frustrating for me at Sweetwater hospital. No one wants to go to the emergency room. It sucks. I feel like Sweetwater Hospital did what they could but there were a lot of things that ultimately they could have done a lot better. Hey, I didn't die!! That's a positive!
Had a c section on the 8th and they have non-stop amazed me. They are all so kind and make sure you and baby are okay. I will 1000% make sure i recommend them in the future!
I can never get ahold of someone to pay my bills. It's been like this for over a year. They transfer me and no one ever answers. It's so frustrating. Should have easier way to pay online, but I can't get anyone to set that up for me either.
The few times I have been there the Nurses have been awesome. I love how caring they are and their willingness to help is great. The doctors on the other hand.. Are very rude and disrespectful. I went in recently for abdominal pain that was so painful that I passed out in the car (my wife was driving) on the way there. The doctor that night was so nonchalant about my condition and results (ovarian cyst) that I almost cried because of how he spoke to me and showed blatant disrespect as well to my wife and son. I don't want to view this as a racial incident, but it certainly felt that way.
