feedback about Tennova Healthcare-Cleveland
January 14 - 17, 2019.
My recent surgery and care at Tennova was the best. They've all been caring and attentive. I wanted to tell you that I cannot say enough good about where I am. I'm at Tennova in Cleveland, TN. I've never had a bad experience here and this time is no different. It takes all types to run a hospital. Every single nurse, PCT, doctor, anesthesiologists that I've encountered have been great.
My surgeon, Dr. Jason Dunn is top notch. He takes his time with each patient. He has been here to help with everything and is very caring. He's been over to see me several times each day but sits down and spends time. Genuinely concerned. I feel very fortunate to have this level of care. And, by the way he just gave me news of my 28 lymph nodes being clear. Praise the Lord.
My youngest son, age 42, was admitted to this hospital two days ago with chest pains. So far, the doc has only ordered a CT scan and a procedure to go through a vein with a camera up to his heart to see if there's any clogged arteries. He has diabetes, high blood pressure,.and high cholesterol for which he takes numerous medications that this hospital is aware of.
My son said that when they admitted him to the room he had to call a nurse to come clean blood off the side of the bed and there was bits of trash all over the room. The bathroom was also a mess. It would appear that my son was put into a room that had not been cleaned at all, a dangerous oversight to be sure as my son was admitted having chest pains. There is a history of heart problems with my son as well as most of the members of our family.
For breakfast this morning he was served scrambled whole eggs, biscuit, gravy and greasy sausage that was stone cold around 10:00 a.m. All for a patient with a history of heart problems and high cholesterol. His lunch which they brought at noon (two hours after breakfast was served), (I saw it) was some dry meatloaf, fake mashed potatoes and some kind of gravy that looked like it had Polyurethane sprayed on it, and some dry green beans and a roll that looked like it was coated with butter or margarine. I brought him his lunch, but don't have a clue what they brought him for supper.
As for a treatment plan for my son, I can't rate the hospital, but for a middle aged man admitted with heart pains, I suspect they could have done better and perhaps done more tests in a timely manner to see if it was indeed his heart.
So, my advice for anyone considering treatment at this hospital or going to this facility in an emergency situation, please rethink your plans and try to go to a hospital in Chattanooga instead. There are at least several hospitals there that have better reviews than Tennova here in Cleveland, TN.
However, I have had surgeries done at the Tennova Hospital in Turkey Creek (Knoxville area) on several occasions and would give them at least a 5 star rating for the care I received there.
My family and I we're completely dumbfounded by the negative reviews left for this hospital. My grandfather was admitted here and he was so sick that we were all worried that he may not wake up the next day. But, the staff here was some of the most nice and helpful I've ever seen in any hospital. My grandfather was extremely pleased, and they did their jobs to the best of their ability and were able to stabilize him.
The women's center here is amaizing. My wife and I have had two children here and the staff is the best .greatest experience ever we love all of the people here very clean and nice the reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is the emergency room side s.ells like cigarettes
I have had exceptional care during my inpatient stay at this hospital. Facility is clean, staff friendly and attentive, and the treatment provided has been on par. Very thankful.
