Not sure what hospital everybody else has been to but the lafollette hospital my friend was in was incredible. Everyone was outstanding while caring for my friend. The Dr, nurses, pharmacist, case management and respiratory techs were incredible. I could mention names but it would take all day. The pharmacist even went out of her way to stop by my friends pharmacy and paid the copay on his meds he couldn't afford because the zero dollar copay card didn't work. Now that's some incredible people. If we had more people in this world like all the employees at the hospital, this would be a lot better world to live in.
Few times I went I sat for 4 hours and was still never seen. Charged me thousands of dollars and didn't even help me. Wouldn't mind if the pace burned down
There's much more bad experiences I've had here but I'm sure you get the point.
This place is horrible. Apparently asking for an answered phone call is too much for this place, not to mention when I finally got an answered phone call from them, I was hung up on. When I went to visit a patient, there was a huge hole in the wall right behind the hospital bed. The hospital had an overall dirty and unprofessional appearance. It concerns me the patient I was visiting was under such seemingly reckless care.
Every time I go up there they call the Law and try to have me arrested.
I came in with my one and a half year old daughter last night. She had a very bad cough, runny nose, was very lethargic (still is) and was puking. The doctor was very rude and didn't even check her ears or examine her at all. The nurses swapped her but that was it. The nurses and other staff were nice and helpful. But Dr. Stanley Swindell acted very rude towards us. Not once did he even touch the patient. But he also told me and my husband that we shouldn't have brought her in and "she will end up with the flu. You should of just waited and took her to her doctor". He wouldn't let me finish a sentence and didn't listen to any of the symptoms beside me mentioning that she also has a diaper rash that her doctor already prescribed ointment for. The only thing he done was prescribe was more ointment. The discharge papers don't even mention her cough. Doctors should not make a parent feel worse. Parents worry about their kids. Especially if they are a toddler and are laying around all day. He should not of treated us differently because we choose not to give her a flu shot (family history).
