Hospital has been great except the pink ladies in surgery waiting room. I have been there twice and both time they have been rude and very on polite. I will be telling my friends and other people about these ladies . They are old and have a chip on their shoulders. My name is Donald Ray Weaver and I live at 917 Rockaway Creek Road in Atmore AL. We came to Thomas because of the good service there but the pink ladies in waiting room are a burden.

Worst of my 3 births. I wanted to record everything but wasn't allowed to have anyone in room during birth or epidural nor cervix dialation check hate this hospital made my experience terrible it wasn't mine I wasn't in control. I recommend going somewhere else or doing it at home if you want to enjoy the process as much as possible.

I would rate this hospital a zero if possible. I'm a private sitter for a family that is very dear to me and seeing any one of them disrespected and mistreated boils my blood so-to-speak. I called for an ambulance for the elderly lady I sit with. Ambulance arrives and brings her to the hospital where she is admitted for heart failure and Pneumonia. I'm sitting with her still off and on for the first week. We've stressed the need to have someone come in and bathe her everyday or in the least every other day but so far, two weeks in here now, she's been bathed twice. That's it. Half the nurses she's had have all had TERRIBLE attitudes, acting like it's not their job to check in on her or assist with taking her to the restroom or bathing her. Which, I spoke with the Supervisor, who informed me that it was the staffs place to do so and not mine for liability reasons. I am just to keep her company while in here. Some if the nurses have been very disrespectful to not just her but her daughter as well. I'm talking cutting people off mid sentence, refusing to help. One case was of her going into a panic attack to have a nurse respond with "It'll pass" and refusing to administer anything to calm her down. At nearly 90, a panic attack with Affib can cause a heart attack easily. I was beyond shocked. She went into ICU that night...We were also refused a catheter by the nurses who claimed she wasn't "bad off enough" for a catheter. That night, her doctor was furious as to her nit having had a catheter put in already so he did thankfully. It has just been one thing after another. I HIGHLY recommend a different hospital!!! Worst attitudes I've ever encountered.

I would not take my dog to this hospital unless It was having a heart attack. they do not treat anything serious except heart attack. I took my 85 year old mother for extremely back pain. they did not even check her for a UTI. They took an xray and saw 2 old fractures in her lower back and said this is causing the pain. they did not even conpair xrays taken 4 years before at the same hospital. they sent her home with a muscle relaxer and said follow up with her regular doctor. a week later she falls and has to go to the hospital while staying with my sister. turns out my mother's pain was an UTI this entire time. Thomas Hospital did not even check for a UTI. For any one that does not know a UTI is extremely common for a 85 year old female, more common than back fractures.

Just released from ER at Thomas Hospital. I must first admit , I hate Hospitals and doctors scare me. BUT, these people were the best. From the front desk to the nurses they are wonderful people. The Doctor that saw me was above excellent. The people at the cat scan, every one I came in contact with were top professionals. This was definitely the first good experience I've had with health care. Not one time did I feel anything but how much they all seemed to care. Thank you so much for everything.
