feedback about Trinity Hospital Twin City
I spent yesterday in the ER with my granddaughter who was coming down from doing meth the night before. I was horrified at the looks the ER staff gave her and me. Looks of disgust. Looks that said she wasn’t worthy of their help. I attempted to talk to the physician and he became upset when I said her family was in the waiting room and wished to talk to him. We, the family, are new to this problem. We had questions that were important to us but evidently not to them. I realize that they see hundreds of drug addicts come through their doors but this drug addict is ours. And she deserves to be treated with dignity not disgust. As a nurse I was taken aback by their lack of caring. Shame on you medical professionals for your lack........
Surprisingly nice hospital with great nurses & doctors. I was taken care of quickly in the ER.
If I could give them no stars, I would. I’d be happy to share our story with anyone that is interested. Long story short, they billed more to take my sons temperature than the doctor at Akron Children’s Hospital did to do a spinal tap when meningitis was suspected. They neglected to adequately check my eight week old son and made me feel like we shouldn’t have brought him to the ER when in just a few hours after leaving Twin City he was taken in an ambulance from Union Hospital to Akron Children’s where he was admitted for four days. I will never go back even if it’s the closest ER.
*** UPDATE ***
After speaking with an administrator, I was hopeful that some action was being taken to make things right with us. Unfortunately, the administrator never returned my phone call like she had said she was going to. It has now been a month and I have heard nothing.
My son was taken in by squad for evaluation. He had given urine and blood for drug testing. After testing positive for methamphetamines, we were treated horribly by Dr Quamme. We demanded a retest which he refused for 20 minutes. Finally, getting the order for another urine drug screen, he was negative across the board. I researched this and found there is a 5% false positive rate!!! Just an FYI!
I went to the less than bandaid factory with a stomach ache. I sat in the waiting room for an hour and a half before finally getting in the back. Got in explained my symptoms to the nurse and went through the allergies and medications spew. After all that I proceeded to wait 6 and half hours because of screwed up blood work. Got told by Quamme on three different occasions that I had nothing wrong with me. Without running any tests or blood work.
