feedback about Tristar Hendersonville Medical Center
I had my daughter there one month ago. It was the best experience. Every single nurse was so kind and helpful. The lactation nurses were all incredibly helpful. My CRNA was great, answered all of my questions and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Riggan is one of the very best! I can’t say enough good things about all of the people that took care of us during our stay. The facility is so nice and clean. Our room was very spacious. I thought I had a good experience with my first daughter at another hospital but my experience with TriStar Hendersonville was exceptional!! Thank you!!
Though busy at the time the staff was very attentive and the providers were very thorough. I was very pleased. Any other ER during the busy times will see many times the average wait time of this place. Staff here are top notch and the providers are second to none. You can tell that these people really strive to be the best. Id trust my life to them all.
My daughter was admitted here was very sick. The nurses and doctors were fantastic. They are all very caring people, GOD Bless them all!
This hospital is the absolute worst!! Everyone from the staff in the E.R. to the nurses on the 2nd floor are incompetent and lack compassion. After being admitted and spending 5 days here only to be sent home with no answers. I originally came in because I fainted in the bathroom, busted my lip and vomited blood. I was told I needed a blood transfusion but the incompetent nurse in the E.R. gave me the wrong blood type!!! Yes You read that correctly. After drawing my blood and testing it to find out my blood type she came back with a B- unit of blood. By the way she poked me over 5 times in both arms cuz she couldn’t find my vein. My cousin who is also a nurse was there and was forced to step in and help locate a vein because she couldn’t deal with the excruciating pain I was being subjected to. I spent over 4hrs in the E.R. after receiving the first unit of blood before getting a room. I was taken to the room and was told I needed another unit of blood. This time the nurse brings a B+ unit. At this point I’m looking at the nurse face with confusion and she’s speaking with the 2nd nurse who came in to verify the same way. They both step out and one comes back in and asked my blood type. I said I assumed it was a B- because that’s what I received downstairs. She goes no you’re a B+. Boy oh boy now they’re searching for the doctor and panicking because the airhead downstairs screwed up. In the end after speaking with the doctor he confirmed that it would be “safe” to receive the 2nd unit because of the order it was given. If I was a B- I could not receive a B+. I was never given any explanation as to why I was given the B- blood in the first place. A B+ blood type is more common than a B- anyway. Previous nurse left no notes on my chart stating why for the doctors and nurses upstairs. They do not communicate with one another it seems. Let’s just say this was one of many issues I had, this being the most major. I will be contacting the state dept of health services about the treatment and services or lack of received at this place
I have been in labor and delivery twice in the past 24 hour. When I first got there I was asked for a urine sample and they said that I had a UTI which was the cause of severe back pain. Cool, they called me in antibiotics to my pharmacy. I end up having to go back to labor and delivery with pain that was radiating into one leg making it so I could not walk. They tested my urine again and said this pain was mostly caused by me tweaking a muscle. They asked what I had been doing for pain which I informed them Tylenol, bio freeze and a heating pad which hasn't been touching the pain. They informed me that the on call Dr will not give me anything other than Tylenol for the pain, which I then ,again, told them has done nothing for the pain. I understand that being pregnant I am very limited on what I can take but I had very similar issues when I was pregnant with my son and was perscrpres medication that was safe and helped take the edge off. They end up telling me that if the pain continues to come back in yet refuses to do anything to help when I come in.
