A very clean and pleasant place. The staff was friendly and helpful. My good friend was receiving treatment and they were very happy. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable.

My experience wasn’t the worse but it definitely could of been better. The person who draws blood picked a poor area of the vein to poke the needle, he then had a hard time connecting the needle to the IV, causing blood to come out of my arm on my gown and shirt. It was like a crime scene. From that alone I had a panic attack, shaking. He kept laughing at me and saying he couldn’t believe I was this scared by blood. I could go on about my visit but I advise anyone unless you HAVE to come here, don’t. The nurses and PA was abrupt and cold.

I am a former employee at St Joe's in the ED. The ED is an awful place to work and dangerous for patients especially if you are a psych, substance abuse, homeless patient or person of color. I was wrongfully let go of my employment because I spoke up about the verbal and physical abuse of the patients named above. Me and a fellow colleague we're both constantly verbally bullied and put down due to our disabilities, and there is terrible racial discrimination towards the African American staff. The ED is so dirty and outdated, but they dont care because it is all about making money to them. I have mentioned everything to my manager, HR, compliance, and executive staff. Nothing was done about it. Instead a fellow colleague lied on me so my employment could be terminated because yes, I whistleblew. The ACLU has been notified, and hopefully a real full unbiased investigation will be done.

My surgeon and the OR team were outstanding. However I have never seen a more incompetent, lazy and rude nursing staff. The other reviewer was spot on when she described this place as hell. I cried and begged to be released as they could care less about your comfort and seemed to have become nurses just for the paychecks, not to take care of ill people. I will change doctors before I ever have to stay here again.
