Excellent staff and doctors, however they could use more doctors! Dental clinic has the best dentists I've been to in a long time! Dr. B. Is fantastic! And the pharmacy staff and pharmacists are top notch! This is what the VA should be like everywhere! Leave it to small town to get it right!

The VA police and VA staff are more concerned with protecting themselves and the staff than protecting its veterans who come there for treatment. They have continuously allowed a VA employee and her boyfriend to stalk and harass myself and my girlfriend who are both veterans and go there for treatment. We have been followed at the facility, blocked into a parking spot and denied freedom to leave, followed from the VA property to other locations, and yet the VA police refuse to do ANYTHING! Big Spring PD claims that since it originated on federal property, the VA police have to be the ones to act on it, and VA police say that once it leaves their grounds, Big Spring PD has to be the ones to act on it. Either way, my girlfriend and I both have to suffer and endure the hardships of being stalked, harassed, intimidated, and bullied by these people. It is clear to me that the VA cares more about protecting its own, rather than protecting it's veterans. Remind me again, what did we serve for?

Update: That dentist in his comments said I was a transient vet, so basically not worth helping, that's why I couldn't get a reply from anyone. Not sure where he got transient from traveling, either way not sure what it matters, a vet is a vet. Just glad my life isn't depending on them. Anyway at this point it's been 6 months and I still don't have dentures and still don't have an appointment to resolve it. The VA medical system at it's best!

Oridinal review:
I am a traveling veteran and had to have all my teeth pulled in Phoenix, Az. Was told to wait 6-8 weeks of healing to get dentures.

Well now I'm in Texas. Made appointment and went to the dentist in Big Spring. Dentist basically told me the oral surgeon in Arizona did a hack job and recommended more surgery and genuinely seemed to care and said it would take another 6-12 months for dentures. Since I am 120 miles from Big Spring I asked for a referral to a non va facility, said he would put it in, but to make an appointment just in case it was denied.

On my way out, the receptionist talking with her friend asked if she could call me to make that appointment. Guess her friend was more important. No call back. So I have called 4 times in the last couple months trying to make an appointment and find out what was going on with the referral, only get answering machine and never get a call back.

So now I have been 6 months without teeth and still no appointment to have anything done.

So once again, the VA at it's best. Why can't the government just give us insurance cards so we can see real doctors and dentists and fire all these hacks that could care less about us veterans and stop paying their exorbitant salaries for a job not even half done!

Dennis Meadows, CPSS of the HUD/VASH Housing Transition is two faced . He is all about obtaining more VA funding for his program and to secure his own job security.
He cares nothing about Veteran's. I'm on a budget of less than $1,400 a month and the HUD/VASH program would have consumed a large portion of my budget leaving me no room to save money for my vehicle maintenance and repair if necessary.
The Wood Group Respite Center that houses homeless/displaced Military Veteran's on one side of the complex have a destrorted view of you as being a Consumer when it's quite the other way around with them being the Consumer consuming as much money as possible as all consumer businesses do to suck as much money as they can.
Some of the staff there dislike Military Veteran's and have total disregard for Veteran's.
