My first visit to the ER was horrible. The nurse was very rude with no bedside manaers and broke several hippa laws. I was rushed back after asking not to be but I had no choice bc of my breathing issues. The Doctor was rude and acted as if he didnt wanna touch me. The nurse also gave me a brace for my fractured knee that is so big it falls off when I stand up. How's that gonna help my injury?

Dr. Gore, the hospitalist, needs to work on his bedside manner. Compassion is a must when talking to family members about hospice care. He was very blunt and demeaning.

I hate to write bad reviews but I went to this hospital after being in a auto accident in Athens Ga as I was going to see my daughter at Hamburg St park and after arriving at the park I started to fill bad and having to cut my visit short because I needed to go to a hospital and this place was about a 20 min ride so I was taken to Washington County Regional and when I got there I filled out some paper work and I told the lady behind the counter that I wanted a CT scan as I have back and neck issues and that I wanted no medicine then I was checked in very fast for a Saturday afternoon and the nurses were very nice as well as professional . I have to say that this place is run down and in need of a make over but I do understand that the medical system is broken down and that this place is needed as my community hospital in the N Ga mountains is closed down. Now when they put me in a bay which is in an area with a curtain all the way around your area a Doctor came to the opening and very ruddly asked me what I wanted and I told him that I filled out a card as to why I was there and then he said well what can I do for you as he never came in my area as he was at the opening of the curtain and I said I wanted a CT scan which I had done and after around an hour he came back with the same bad attitude and told me no damage was done to my neck or back and left . So in closing I am giving a star for the nurses and another star for the lady that checked me in.

I'm a nurse, and I would trust my life to this place. I worked here for a brief time, fresh out of Nursing School, and was amazed at how great the care was with so little resources. The management and admin staff were a joke, but, that seems to have changed over the years and I hope that this rural facility can sustain well into the future. Give them a chance. They really do know what they are doing and they can help! Don't risk dying on the way to a bigger city when there is a perfectly good community hospital right there in your on town!

They took great care of my husband when we thought he had a stroke
