Scum bags. Had an emergency room visit. Didn’t tell me it’s would cost a whopping $5,000 afterwards. Well I paid it, and guess who reported it unpaid to the credit bureaus..THESE GUYS. Thank you for my horrible credit score, West Calcasieu. I’ll never be using y’all again.

Brought urine to the lab for urinalysis. The guard was quite helpful and even friendly. The lab tech took the specimen with no problem

My mother was admitted from ER with septicemia and kidney infection. The doctor over her care discharged my mother with septicemia and kidney infection. She was still very sick. She was taken to Lake Area ER that same day and admitted. She was still septic and had kidney infection. This is the second time Cal-Cam's hospitalist did not know what they were doing. PEMM, the agency who supplies hospitalist to Cal-Cam, needs to hire competent physicians. Male nurse could not get good IV. He continued to stick her after she asked for someone else to try. His reply," I'm the best." If one of her children or my dad would have been there that nurse would have left that room and not been allowed back. Lake Area called specialist in to insert a PICC line. She was discharged from Lake Area with home health. Home health was not even offerred at discharge time from Cal-Cam.We now refer to Cal-Cam as Kill-Cam. ER is fantastic. We won't ever be admitted to Kill-Cam again. This was second incident withat Cal-Cam. First incident my mom was admitted from ER, sent to ICU and then eventually to med-surg floor. Hospitalist kept playing around with her health. She was complaining of abdominal pain. Hospitalist was trying to discharge her but we insisted more test be ran. She was still very sick. After requesting and then demanding CT scan of abdomen, a cancerous tumor was found. Without that CT scan we would not have known, she had surgery to remove cancerous tumor and has remain cancer free.
