feedback about West Kendall Baptist Hospital
One of the nurses in the ER think she is so smart that everything is funny. I explaining that I am dizzy, that have this feeling of fainting and she is just repeating "that you want to faint" ...and laughing. I was mentioning that the room was smelling like iodine that if maybe the sink can be whipped with alcohol, she is so stupidly hilarious. She takes two wipes of alcohol and she is like "you wanna smell alcohol"? And handed it to me like if I'm supposed to snore it. That's how smart is at the ER. (Everything is funny). The guys that took my vitals seems very hilarious too. One was implying that I might have the flu, the other one just laughing all the time and making jokes about blood pressure. Is a pity. What you put yourself in your hands when you have symptoms that you don't know why you have it and the people who supposed to treat you have no seriousness. What a joke for health care practitioners.
I brought my father to this hospital days ago by fire rescue due to this being the closest hospital to my house but definitely not by choice. From day one this hospital has violated all rights that my father has, I’ve requested for my father to be transferred to another hospital due to the lack of proper care.
I filed not one but two complaints with admistration, I spoke to the nurse supervisor, doctors, even filled a written request and still my wishes as my father’s caregiver were not only ignored but violated: I’ve been lied to, given misleading information all in the name of “let’s be able to keep this patient here as long as possible to be able to charge his insurance”. This hospital does not care about a patient’s well being nor do they honor and obey any patients rights that my father is entitled to.
If you love your family members DO NOT bring them to this hospital and for whoever answers to these comments: Shame on you, my father is 89 years old. He deserves to be treated with respect, he’s a human being not a dollar sign and his stay in this place that you call “hospital” has been pure hell.
I have been to this hospital many time this year becuase it’s close to my house and this for SURE will be the last time I come here. I don’t like to give reviews but this really deserved a review, customer service is good and the nurses are great but the dam wait in EMERGENCY, EMERGENCY is ridiculous. People come here with real problem I got here at 12:17 and I am currently still here and it’s 6:22 and no one has came to give me results or nothing. I’m sorry but this hospital deserves less then 1 star.
A couple of months ago I took my daughter to this hospital to adult side since shes over 21 with burning fever and chills she had been feeling bad for 2 weeks with severe bronchitis prior going to the hospital and the Emergency room was kind of crowded but we waited a total of 15 minutes before my daughter got called in and saw a nurse for vitals and right away she was put in a room to see the doctor. Everyone was nice and caring in the E.R several lab tests where done even chest scans and then the news came in from E.R. Doctor that my daughter had to be admitted for a couple of days. About 1:00am she was admitted and taken upstairs in a private very nice and clean room and she stayed for about 5 days. While being admitted I was stunned how caring and compassionate the nurses and staff and doctors where. The cleaning crew makes sure the rooms are cleaned and you get clean towels and linens. My daughter was very well taken care of making sure she got her medications on time and pulmonary team came 3 times a day to give her breathing treatments since she had a very bad bronchitis with fever and chills. Doctors came in every morning it was a team of doctors and everyone was making sure she had her I.V. and fluids and strong antibiotics through her I.V. . Thank god we came in time or this could of gotten worst and turned into Pneumonia. Doctors got concern that she was not eating her meals while in the hospital not even outside meals like Mcdonalds, she just had no appetite, so instead she was given BOOST its just like ENSURE for those that are not eating. Thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff that took good care of my daughter. I have been to this hospital many times to the E.R and have always received awesome professional service. I sure never had a complaint, its been so far an Excellent experience for my daughter and I every time we have been here. Thank you!
3 hour wait
Visiting family that lives in Kendall
My husband possibly have kidney stones
And we are waiting since 11:30 pm and it’s now 2:30
The nurses and front desk are clueless and won’t admit they are under staffed during the holiday. This is so unfortunate!!!!
I should of gone to a Broward hospital.
