This hospital is severely incompetent. They have lost 17 blood vials due to mistakes that they caused! I am going in for a 3rd time to have my vials redone. Things like this should never happen in a hospital where mistakes like this cause deaths. I have been put on hold and then hung up on the past 3 times I have called. A couple weeks ago I went in for an infection, that they have known about, and I had to go in last night just for them to do something about it. They made me wait an hour just to tell me I had an infection again! At least this time they are doing something about. I know that this hospital isn't West shore anymore but I know how they got the local Nick name of death shore. Do yourself a favor and drive to Ludington, it might be a difference between life and death

My wife is in the earlier stages of pregnancy and she contracted a UTI. We thought it was just a pregnancy thing for her to have pain and she had just had uran samples taken a few days prior with no return calls so we had no reason to think it was UTI.
Eventually after days of pain she went to the ER and they confirmed it was a UTI. They gave her antibiotics and sent her home. After a week of pills we thought that was that, but the pain was still there.
This time we just go to the clinic next door and she tells a doctor about it and gives him the bottle. The doctor just looks in confusion at the bottle.

Apparently when someone has a UTI they have to match the specific bacteria to a certain antibiotic. They just instead just gave my wife a general antibiotic that does nothing for her but dim the pain a little. He says this shouldn’t happen and have her the correct prescription.

As her husband I couldn’t believe the laziness of the hospital. They should know what to do for this situation and not just give her a general antibiotic that they know does nothing for her. And if by chance they just didn’t know what to give her then they shouldn’t be working for a hospital. This isn’t a one time thing. They have been consistently incompetent with other services we have needed from them. It’s especially scary because untreated UTI can lead to miscarriage or preterm labor, so I was not happy

At least the clinic doctor was competent, he should be working in the main hospital.

Been here about 6 times in the past month. I'm literally dying from fecal compaction. Can't even walk a block without feeling like I'm going to pass out. They just keep prescribing me laxatives that don't work. This place is responsible for my coming death. And i don't have transportation elsewhere. Thanks for nothing death shore

My mother is currently in this hospital, I'm not saying by any means that's it's a bad hospital. There are however some issues with patient care. Don't expect the nurse or who ever is in your room to listen to you or validate any concerns you have about the medication they are giving. So far they have given my mother 3 medications she does not need. They are insisting she is diabetic..first let me say the only reason my mom is here is because of an accident. She's not old and have dementia or anything like that. The doctor here has not contacted her primary care physician yet. Even though me and my mom have repeatedly told them shes not diabetic!!!!! They have their typical excuses as to why they want her to take it...so why do hospitals do this?????
And the patient care tech in my moms room earlier today. Snotty and attitude and she's a student of all things!!!! She needs to re think her career choice.

I had my blood drawn and had an amazingly short wait. I loved they had the wait time listed in the waiting area TV screens - which was just a few minutes. The staff was very friendly and my blood draw went very smoothly. Great job!
